Image trace options
I like the 'ignore color' function. I want to have an option where I can select i.e. four colors, and image trace the divides the image into those four categories. This could save so much time in tracing maps/drawings/scans.

Sure, makes total sense. As I read it, you want to be able to lock certain colors and/or pick them manually in the image, to make sure these stay in the final trace, instead of relying on the way Ai handles it?

Hi Egor,
I want to be able to not only restrict the amount of colors it chooses but also which shade it gives them.
Currently, I can provide the number of shades/colors allowed (i.e. 6) and the image trace function itself picks 6 shades which can most accurately represent the picture and divides all pixels into one of those 6 shades. If I right now have a dark map with a lot af gray shapes, only a few specs red and even less blue and green. I have to set my color limit very high for it to start picking up my red as different tones of red.
In this example i want two shades of red and 4 of gray, and for it to ignore or black/white filter the blue and green. Currently i have to set the color limit quite high before it starts picking up on the different shades of red. After which i have to manually color the blue and green in as greyshades after which I have to reduce the amount of gray shades to 4 by selecting all the shades and coloring them differently.I want to be able to select 6 color codes in advance (2 red & 4 gray) and let the image trace function devide everything into those 6 categories. This way it reduces the information in the image to exactly what I want it to be in a single action.
So a little bit more than just limiting the color count. I hope this explanation is more clear.
Thank you for responding!

Daan, not sure I understand. Do you want to be able to ignore more than one color, to set several colors as transparent, or do you need to limit the final count of colors to 4? or something else? Please elaborate.
