Please allow Compound Shapes in patterns
Patterns are super restrictive. Compound paths are obviously allowed, but compound shapes, being just a tiny bit more complex (from a user’s POV) aren’t.
I had a specific task where I had to invert some patters from being black or transparent to transparent on black. Using subtract compound shapes was the easiest method that would allow the original intact. Now I have to double them. A minor workaround... scratch that, it’s not. Duplicating pattern swatches is a nightmare.
