  2. Auto spell checker underline and hidden characters should disappear in Trim View

    When switching to “Trim View”, grid and lines and bleed and anything outside the artboards disappear, providing a nice preview of the document you’re working on.

    However the red zigzag underline of the auto spell checker and the symbols from Show Hidden Characters are not hidden, so that the preview is still cluttered with working tools.

    It should probably behave like the Preview mode in InDesign (W) and only shows the artwork.

  3. Let us Favourite fonts during font search

    Right now you can favourite fonts, but only during browsing fonts normally. If you search for fonts there is no favourite column in the results.

  5. Allow the user to choose artboards for spell check

    Allow the user to choose artboards for spell check, every time I make new changes it scans the complete document. If the user knows which artboard needs spell check or which range would be easy for people like me who suck at writing correct spelling.

  6. Remap ⌥← and ⌥→ (Option + Left / Right) to jump back/ahead one word

    Make ⌥← and ⌥→ default for jumping one word back and forth or respectively mark text when pressing "shift" as used to in Premiere Pro and by default on Mac. Same issue exists in Photoshop where these shortcuts are annoyingly used to adjust kerning.

  7. Installing new fonts don't automatically list in Illustrator unless I restart the App.

    Hi there,

    When I activate a new font in my font management app (in this case FontExplorer), the font doesn't show up in Illustrator. I have to quit Illustrator and reopen it in order to see the new font. In the past I didn't have this issue only in recent updates to Illustrator. Is there a way to fix this?

  8. Support single one line fonts

    Hi,

    I have tried Illustrator to design name tags to engrave on our engraving machine. Unfortunately single line fonts, which are essential for some engravings, isn't working properly. Bought them from onelinefonts.com and they are working flawless in most other apps, but none of Adobe's so far.

  9. Support wildcard characters in Find & Replace

    My only wish for the text Find & Replace would be able to use wildcard characters. That was such a great option in the TexEdit (not TextEdit) word processor and I have yet to find something similar for the Mac.

  10. Add an "All Minuscule" button to the character tool panel

    There's an all caps button why not the opposite. At times I've seen plenty of brands use minuscule characters for some lines exclusively. It would be nice to have templates that prevent the error to have majuscule letters or vowels when a brand doesn't want it and explaining it to the client/customer. I've made a sample you can check out. It seems simple enough to add.

  11. Add an option to customize the strikethrough or underlined text

    How is it possible that there are still no options to customize the strikethrough or underlined text???
    On the internet I found posts and requests dating back even 10 years ago??? O.O

  12. Opacity mask detection and text inside

    Sometimes we need to convert all text in the document to shapes (Create Outline) to be in the save side in print process.

    When we have opacity masks that have text inside the mask layer, we can't edit it until we find the mask. Sometime, we receive documents that we didn't make ourselves and it will be not be easy to find all masks.

    The suggestion is to:
    - Have a command to find out all opacity masks.
    - Have a command to select text in the whole document even inside the masks.

  13. Numbered List - Choose at which number we wish to start the list.

    Hi, It would be great if we could rearrange the order of lists for Numbered List options.

    You choose which "Levels" the numbering is but what if under that you would have the option to select at which number to start, 2...3...4 or whatever number we wish to insert.

  14. Allow to embed fonts to documents/PDFs and convert them to outlines when opened/imported

    As we primarily use Illustrator for creating our print files for our Printers, it would really help our workflow to be able to open, supposedly print ready PDFs from our Clients, with embedded fonts (partial family or whole set) and to be able to convert to vector outline before closing and passing on to our printers without the need for the us to have the same fonts our self. If font licensing is the issue a button option to auto convert to outline as the file is opened via Illustrator would negate that problem..

  15. Allow font size, leading to be blank in paragraph & character styles (as in InDesign).

    In InDesign, you can leave the font size of a paragraph or character style blank, allowing you to apply a style while preserving the font size that's already set (critical for different sized documents). In Illustrator, while you can create a style with a blank size, it automatically reverts to 12pt.

  17. Somehow save font info after outlining.

    It sure would be pretty awesome if there was a way to record what the font was while outlining for future reference.

    Love the new Font Height options, but it would REALLY be helpful to be able to change the unit of measurements from points to inches or millimeters.

  20. Special characters like in InDesign

    It would be reat to have special characters (especially hyphens and white spaces) like in InDesign... and that they work just as good. So far, for example, the "nonbreaking space" doesn't always react well when the text is justified.
