Inline Graphics / Anchor Object to text ability (like InDesign)
Please allow in-line graphics in text paragraphs, so graphics will move along with the rest of the copy within text. I am working on a lot of signage/wayfinding and the rooms keep getting moved about. Arro symbols and toilet icons have to be positioned manually and it is VERY time consuming. I wish the original artwork had been created in InDesign! Thanks
61 votesPlease share some real cases for this feature you had in your practice, which could have benefit greatly from having inline graphics. It will help the team to plan it and make it more useful for Ai users, than analogues we have in InDesign and Figma.

Japanese characters in Japanese fonts are misaligned in Vertical Text Alignment
Starting with v24.3, vertical text alignment is now available. This is a great feature we have been waiting for. However, characters in Japanese fonts are misaligned at the center and bottom, as shown in Figure-1.
This is probably due to the fact that the bottom edge of the character is used as the baseline.Maybe we need The Last Baseline option.It's a tough road. But the Illustrator team can make it happen, I am sure of it.

v24.3より、垂直方向のテキスト配置が利用できるようになりました。これは待ち望んでいた素晴らしい機能です。しかし、日本語フォントの文字は、Figure-1に示すように、中央揃えと下揃えの位置がずれてしまいます。
これは、文字の下端をベースラインとしていることが原因と思われます。末尾ベースラインオプションが必要かもしれません。大変な道のりです。しかし、Illustratorチームはそれを実現できる、私はそう確信しています。46 votes -

英数字に対する和欧文間のアキの基準が欧文の前後で異なる（バージョン不問）
例えば、「第1章」という文字列に対して、数字だけを大きくしたとします。
この際に和欧文間隔は当然適用されるのですが、その（アキの）基準が数字の前後で異なってしまいます。
添付画像をご覧になれば一目瞭然ですが…数字の前は数字の文字サイズを基準にしており、数字の後は後続の文字が基準になっています。
普通のアルファベットの場合は、前後とも直前と直後の文字が基準になっているのは画像の右でお判りいただけるでしょう。
これはずーーーーっと改善されておりませんので、是非ともアルファベット同様な挙動になるように改善をお願いいたします。17 votesIllustrator 製品フィードバックへのご協力ありがとうございます。

Warichu’s Adjustment value is limited to an integer in point
Confirmed in Illustrator 30.3.0 and CS4.
It's probably a problem that occurs in all past versions.The "Warichu" using for vertical writing text, under use in Japanese environment.
The adjustment value is set only to integers of points and it is very troubling.
In that state, I can only do a rough job too much.
I would like to improve so that more detailed values can be set.<Japanese>
Illustrator 30.3.0 および 14 (CS4) で確認済み。
おそらく過去のどのバージョンでも発生する問題です。割注設定の行間がPoint整数値ごとにしか設定できない。
これでは大雑把な仕事しかできない。
細かい値を設定できるよう改善して欲しい。また、テキストオブジェクトの拡大・縮小に追従されない。
<検証手順>
1. テキストに割注を設定し、行間をpoint以外の整数などにする
2. 割注設定を再び開いて値を確認する- 割注の行間に目安となる長方形を作成
- テキストと長方形を選択して拡大・縮小
<結果>
2. 値がpoint整数値に四捨五入されている
4. 割注の行間は長方形とずれてゆく<理想とされる結果>

Korean text can't wrap cleanly at syllable boundaries
In InDesign, Korean text can wrap cleanly at syllable boundaries, but in Illustrator and Photoshop it still can’t. We’re simply asking for the same “syllable‑by‑syllable” line‑break option that InDesign already has. Who on earth wants to type Korean like “인‑디‑자‑인‑처‑럼,” with every syllable forced onto its own line? We just need consistent letter‑spacing and neat line breaks.
Korean users have been requesting this for more than ten years. Adobe, please—could you finally make it happen?
