1. Alignment tools can use reference/center point of an object instead of edges

   I think it would be great if objects in illustrator were treated as such - with edges, but also with a center point.

   Aligning/rotating solely based on edges is extremely limited.

   If an "Object point of reference" option was added, selecting several objects and rotating them all could result in them rotating around their center rather than the center of the group of objects.

   Same with aligning and distribution... this is a feature that often blocks me and seems long overdue, I'm not sure why it's not more obvious for other users!

2. Align to artboard

   In older versions I always had the option to set "align to artboard" and it didn't reset after deselecting objects. I want it back and I want to be able to do that with a single object again, without having to select at least 2 to set that.

3. New Align Setting: "Align to Nearest Artboard" (Smart Artboard Awareness)

   Illustrator’s "Align to Artboard" should be viewport-aware.

   Currently, if I’m zoomed in on Artboard 10 but Artboard 1 is technically "active," objects fly off-screen to Artboard 1 when I hit align. This is counter-intuitive and forces a constant cycle of "Undo" (Ctrl+Z) and manual clicking to re-activate the correct board.

   Proposed Solution:
   Add a setting for "Align to Nearest/Visible Artboard." The software should automatically align to the artboard the user is currently looking at or the one the object is physically overlapping, without requiring a manual click to "activate" it first.

   Make the alignment tool smart enough to understand the user's current context.

4. In artboard mode enable unit of measure in Distribute Spacing using Align panel

   Recently Artboard mode added support for the Align panel’s Distribute commands, which is great, however I can't type in the unit box for distribute. This is surely a quick fix to just enable that box when in ARTBOARD Mode.

   I find myself needing to set spacing between artboards all the time, and the rearrange tool does not always work, because it just sets the same distance between multiple artboards.

   I have found many scenarios where rearrange does not work, because I have different artboards of different sizes stacked on top and below and left and right.

   What I really need is to be able to quickly select 2 or more artboards and to be able to quickly set spacing between them, align distribute tool is the best for this in normal mode.

5. グループ化されたオブジェクトのキーオブジェクトへの整列とレイヤーを保ったグループ化

   １．説明
   背景が透明の画像を配置して他のオブジェクトもレイアウト進めて、それらをいくつか並べたデザインの時に、画像をマスクしていないけど、例えば四角の枠線で揃えたい時に整列が出来ない。

   そもそも揃えたければ、揃えられるように制作するべきなのでしょうが、中心が揃っていないのでうまく整列が出来ないのでマスクするなどしてという作業の代わりに、四角を選択範囲に保存しておき、それをキーオブジェクトにして揃えるとか何かうまく出来ないでしょうか。

   さらに、「レイヤーを保ったままグループ化」は出来ないでしょうか。整列の際にグループ化したいけどレイヤーの都合でグループ化したくない時はどうすればいいでしょうか。

   そもそも「マスクのオフセット機能」なるものがあれば、「マスクをした後に+3mmとかのオフセットを入れると塗り足し拡張出来る」という感じであれば、また別のケースで整列の問題が簡便になり、前述の機能を使わなくなるとも思います。

   整列が便利になる。
   マスクがフレキシブルになる。

6. Align By and Align To separate per object aligned

   Current alignment in Illustrator is barely sufficient. I should be able to align any object or path by any point to any object or path by any point.

   Perhaps if you created an alignment tool that allows us to select not only the alignment objects, but the points for each object to align by then your alignment methods would be so much more robust.

   Using the align tool would create a list of alignment participants on a slide-out panel. When selecting an element to align, you would pick from one of the 9 reference points or click anywhere on the object to create a custom alignpoint. Then when you were done selecting elements, you would pick the alignment method (align Horizontal) and all of those elements would be aligned by the point you selected. What's more is that you could save this "alignment strategy" to realign those elements by those reference points later using a simple action. Hit me up for more details on this if you are interested.

   Think of an alignment point as the alignment equivalent of a transform point with 9 positions.

7. Add ability to sort or reorder Objects on Path

   Love the align to path tool. It has made things so much easier.

   One suggestion, however, would be to rearrange the order of elements you aligned. Ideally, you would allow us to sort elements and give certain properties like HUE, Transparency, Size, Rotation, and then we could easily make things like fading shapes to signify movement or just by size where the bigger things were aligned at the end.

   You could even make a series of tools like the Symbol Sprayer tools that let you manipulate the pieces on the path by spreading in areas and shrinking areas. Resizing or orienting individual shapes.

   Also, when expanding the Align to Path objects, don't expand symbols. (I'll add another ticket for that)

8. Automatically rearrange are resize selected objects in columns / rows with uniform gaps

   Could you have a function that automatically arranges links or shapes in the layout space with an equal distance in width and height?

9. Align objects according to order of selection (first / last)

10. Padding and margin in Illustrator objects

    It would be interesting to be able to place a margin or padding on objects such as shapes or text, in addition to a magnet system in which you can select what to stick this margin to, it could be vertex or edges.

11. Live align

    1. With this live align feature, you could have two objects maintain their alignment properties even if you change one of the objects. For example, if you have a rectangle and text inside it. You should be able to align the text to the rectangle. Later, when you change the text or change the rectangle, it should keep the alignment settings persistent. So, if you made the rectangle longer, the text would remain centered on the longer rectangle.

    2. I center objects within groups all the time. As far as I know, there is no way to make changes to objects and maintain their alignment properties. When I am working on something like a GUI screen, I may need to change the text on a button that exists on many screens. In this instance, it would be a lot faster to be able to just update the text and it would remain centered on the button. This feature could be the default within grouped objects, or it could be a keyboard/menu selection that allows the alignment to persist.

12. オブジェクトの分布の基準点を改善してほしい

    左右（上下）最大サイズに位置するオブジェクトが基準となり、意図した整列が出来ません。
    例えば「水平方向左に分布」では各オブジェクト左位置を基準とした整列が望ましいと思います。

    What about an "Align tool", click and hold an align-button to lock it in. Then click an object to select i. The object will align to the next object you click, and both object align to the next object you click, and so on...

14. Align to Key Object using Direct Select

    Double clicking on an object while having direct selection active does not cause the object to become key object. This is possible only when selection tool is active

    Recommendation: allow double clicking to select key object while under direct selection tool

15. Align to Artboard is set as default

    Align to Artboard is automatically set to default, even after changing the toggle to Align to Selection.

    It used to work that whichever you selected, that selection would remain. But now, it always switches back to Align to Artboard. Very frustrating.

16. Align to guides

    Select multiple objects, click a guide then a small align box opens, select vertical align for example and it aligns all the objects to that guide line. Also the horizontal/vertical distribute centre doesn't work with logos, even shapes it does but if you select 4 random vector logos it doesn't space them evenly

18. Bring back show bounding box while moving objects

19. Moved and pasted objects keep thrown off by 0.0001 pixels

    I'm trying to copy, paste, then merge items. However, the pixels keep getting thrown off by .0001 pixels. Even when I put it back in place, it moves back to .0001 px above or below the actual coordinate. I already spoke to a team that did not do anything about it. This has been costing me literally over 100 hours of wasted time. I now give up and can't sleep knowing my pixels are not rounded to the nearest desired coordinate. Somebody for the love of God fix the **** bug. It's super duper annoying, especially for the OCD and lack of merging capabilities when the numbers don't align.

20. Dropdown menu for alignment to specific artboards

    I work with multiple artboards files every day and I constantly use the align tool to align to what I think is the artboard I have highlighted, only for it to jump to a different board. It would be awesome if you could click and hold for a menu to dropdown and then select the artboard to align that item to.
