Pasting symbols now creates unique symbols instead of instances of the original symbol
Copy-pasting a symbol —whether individually or by using the paste to all artboards command — now creates a new symbol instead of creating instances of the original symbol. Alt-dragging the symbol to a new artboard creates a new instance of the original symbol as expected.
This seems to be a new bug, as I can't recall ever having this issue before. Thanks for checking into it!

All my symbols gets displaced all the times
Whenever I make symbols for sock label logo, these symbols get randomly gets displaced and moved to another location on the art board by itself. the positioning is completely random and no logic. It's been like this since Illustrator 2025. what is going on???
Please see attached for example of what I mean random displacement of symbols, all the symbol object have been moved randomly to top right. Only way to fix is to break the symbols and manually move these objects back to where I intended to place. This is a must fix bug. please help!!!!MacOS 26.2 Illustrator…

Embeded image in symbol
I am using Adobe Illustrator CC 2018.
I am using a symbol that has an embedded image in it. When I re-link the image and embed the new image it does not stay when the symbol is exited. The symbol will also not allow me to delete the embedded image.
In previous versions of Illustrator once the image is embedded and the symbol exited, the image remains and is placed across all the symbols.

Dynamic symbols automatically expands
When placing a dynamic symbol on an artboard, then re-opening the document it becomes "expanded" — the link to symbol gets broken. This only occurs with dynamic symbols.
