Resolution/raster setting info unclear and worrisome
I discovered on the help board that all files on illustrator for iPad or vector files and therefore do not need a resolution adjustment. It took me a full day to find that information and it is not clear in the app. To add to the confusion the only information we do clearly have says raster affects 72 dpi. So looking at that it sounds like the file I just worked on for four hours is at 72 dpi instead of 300 dpi like my printer needs. There’s nothing available in the app that mentions anything about the actual resolution. I think it’s great that I don’t actually have to change the roster settings but why is it set up this way to make it look like I do? Either give us a way to change the dpi so that we know what it is, or let us click on that 72 dpi and show us an info box that explains that. I just lost a bunch of time, paid time, trying to figure that out. The file I uploaded was a 300 dpi file so I had no reason to think it would be otherwise until the window to share the file stated that it was 72 dpi. It’s massive confusion and there’s really no good explanation for it. Bad GUI design.
