It’s so laggy it’s frustrating

I have a 12.9 iPad Pro, so I know I have plenty of power, why is this app so tragically slow. It takes multiple seconds to respond to any command. Even switching between tools.

    same. laggggggggggggy. Wait several seconds just to switch tools. May of 2023 here. Everything updated. Highest power internet, the works. Can't even complete a single, simple character design.
