We were able to ship support for Art and Calligraphic Brushes in our 2.0 release. But there is more to be done for Import / Export of (atleast) these Brush types. We’re keeping this thread open for your feedback. Thank you!

It would be nice if one could work with the same vector brush used in the imported desktop document. Looks like there is a possibility. When you look at the screenshot i uploaded.
This line is a copy from a line in a desktop file. Pasted in a ipad file.
When i put my apple pencil at the top end of the vertical thick line i can continue drawing this vector line with te pressure and tilt response. It feels and looks very natural.
Then when i lift up my pencil. The line stays selected wit the ancor points and all that. ( An option witch i'd like to turn of but i can't find the option in the ipad app)
Then i draw a new line. The little horizontal line
Unfortunately this is not the same brush anymore. It has edged ends and sharp corners.
Good luck with developing this great app -

Please add brushes or let us import from brush library (which you need to create)

A normal brush tool, that utilizes calligraphic, scatter, etc. Brushes like on the desktop version and allows for pressure sensitivity with the Apple Pencil. The blob brush allows for pressure sensitivity for tapering and whatnot but it creates fills. I would like a regular brush tool that allows for pressure sensitivity and keeps my paths, editable as paths.

I've purchased several .ai brushes over the years and would love to be able to use them on my iPad. I tried loading them but it seems that's not a feature that's available. I'd rather not have to repurchase a whole new set of brushes for the iPad version of Illustrator.

Ability to import brushes from the cloud library or directly from iPad. Brush creation would be a great option too.

I came here simply to request this! I downloaded this as a preorder yesterday and so far it’s ok. Except I’m missing a good portion of the brushes I have in fresco, photoshop, and even procreate. What’s to keep me using this product that I don’t already have in another AND I can turn the canvas in the others?

Even just adding the default brushes from the desktop version would be huge!
Like the pencil brushes and tapered lines. -
