Rulers have turned black
Operating system: See DxDiag.txt document
Version Illustrator (Beta) 29.8 28 (64-bit)
I opened Illustrator yesterday to find the rulers have blacked out (see image). I have tried everything I can think of, even uninstalled and reinstalled Illustrator but to no avail.
The rulers work just fine on the regular version, the problem only exists on the Beta version.

I removed the beta and now I can´t find it from creative cloud anywhere.
Can someone help, please. Edit: Today (4.8.25), after Creative Cloud update, it was available again. Problem solved and the rulers work too, thank you. -

Updated to version 29.8.0.68 and the rulers are back. Great work and thanks, much appreciated.

David, the build number you show is 29.8.0.43.
The latest Beta build is 29.8.0.68. Please check for an update (sometimes it takes time to get found). -

I have reinstalled version 29.8 and the rulers are still blacked out (see image).

Rulers disappeared from the panel after the penultimate Illustrator beta update, which ends up hindering work, as it is necessary to check measurements all the time.

I updated to version 29.8 without uninstalling the program, but the problem was not fixed. I will try to uninstall the whole program and install again. Should the fix work by updating the new version or does it really need uninstalling the whole program?

Changing the brightness doesn't help but if I uninstall then reinstall version 29.7 the rulers work just fine, it's only version 29.8 where the rulers blackout.

Confirm this on Windows. Changing the brightness of the user interface doesn’t help.
