The Control bar fill and stroke color option is broken again
The Control bar fill and stroke color option is broken again. The color is changing incorrectly when I select a swatch color or when I am trying to enter values in the color mixer. Also it is changing the color mode incorrectly in the color mixer when starting to enter values, for example when I start entering RGB values it changes the values to CMYK even though the document is RGB. There are many more problems that are adding up. The more Illustrator is trying to create new features the more it is becoming unusable.
Using Color Mixer in Control panel for stroke changes the color of the fill instead:

Shift-clicking a swatch in Control bar to show alternate color UI no longer works:

yes ASAP when I can get time to do this

In addition to Egor's comment, would it be possible to share a video showing the issues being faced? And a file would help as well.

John, there is an existing report about recent problems with changing colors:
Object appearance defaults when selecting new colors (white fill, black stroke)

An while the problem with alternate UI still exist (thanks to the Generate Pattern button!), the other one, with a stroke changing the the fill’s color was resolved — are you sure you are still having it?
