   Need a mechanism for tracking time spent on drawing. Perhaps some kind of time stamp or punch clock.

   This usually happens when Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+B gets accidentally pressed. It disables the bounding box (which can be useful in many workflows). You can toggle it back with the same hotkey or via View > Show Bounding Box.
