I am getting this too, but I actually think it applies mostly to documents in one of the preset sizes - A4, letter, etc.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.1.0 which is available worldwide now.

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

Yes, this! Just wrote the same exact bug yesterday, didn't notice this one.

    Hi,

    I'll give you an example:
I work with a slightly heavy multi-artboard illustrator file.
After making the neccessary design changes, I press Ctrl+S to save the .ai file.
Then I wait for a second until it starts showing the percentage of the saving progress in the "filename tab". When the percentage shows up, it means that I can -meanwhile- press Ctrl+Shift+S to also save the file as a .PDF. Everything seems fine so far - the dialogue shows up, I rename the file, press Save, select my PDF saving preferences (with Preserve AI editing ability unchecked...), and hit Save PDF. Then close the file (no dialogue pops up).

Now, when I look in the folder, I see that that the .PDF file is there and it's saved as needed, BUT, the .AI file has NOT been saved (updated)! What I'm left with is an old version of the .AI and a flattened .PDF, so I hope this issue will be sorted... This nice multitasking feature used to work properly before the update.

    OS: Windows 10 Pro
    AI: Illustrator Version: 25.0
