The hole GPU support with Illustrator 2021 is broken on the Mac with Big Sur. (Mac OS 10.3 + Ai 25.2.3) GPU support works with a blank document. As described by Oliver the GPU support crashes reproducibly. The triggers are: switch on rulers > no GPU, open document with guides > no GPU, double click on grouped elements > no GPU. I repeatedly wrote to Adobe but several upates went by without help. Every (!) colleague I have spoken to has struggled with the same mistake. Both of my Macs (Intel & M1) have the issue. The software quality Adobe delivers here is an outrage for paying customers.

Very similar problem here with both my Macbook Pro M1 and my iMac 2019 (i9, Vega48) with latest OS X Updates: Both machines lose GPU support when accessing a grouped elements, when turning on rulers or using guides. A document from scratch works just fine as long I don't do one of mentioned things above.
On the iMac I switched back to Ai 24 wich works fine. Ai 25 is a broken version.

GPU support is still broken: switch on rulers, change canvas or double click a grouped and the GPU support is gone. (Mac OS 11.13.1, latest Ai beta with Apple Silcon support)
