Need More Info  ·  Yogesh Sharma responded

Please share your thoughts on the following:

    1. Would it make sense to have a separate desktop app, just to create charts, and bring them inside Illustrator or InDesign? It may not be on cloud.

    2. Or would you rather have us work on building it within Illustrator?

    Thanks
    Yogesh

I hope Adobe will soon make it possible to save Pattern swatches directly into our Libraries.
It would make workflow less counterintuitive for many Adobe Illustrator pattern designers.
    On the Adobe user forums
    https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/how-can-i-save-a-pattern-in-cc-library/m-p/10688779
    2 expert users suggested workarounds.
But we should not be having to work around this still in 2021 coming up 2022.

Patterns are a fairly fundamental aspect of Illustrator. And if we are able to save Objects containing pattern fills into our CC libraries I fail to see why it is not possible to get our pattern swatches saved in there as well.

In AI 2020 and 2021 Adobe improved the interface of basic pattern editing without the need for 3rd party plugins. That is great. Now if you could please allow us to better manage the swatch collections of what we make.

Expand Appearance is not working in CC 2020 for me either.
Where is the solution explained by Adobe Support?
