An error occurred while saving the comment There are several custom script solution for this, such as:
- https://github.com/hendraanggrian/prepress-adobe-scripts/blob/main/Illustrator%20Scripts/Objects/Step%20and%20Repeat....jsx
- https://github.com/dumbm1/ai_scripts/blob/master/autors/OlegButrin/StepRepeat.jsx
- https://sites.google.com/site/dtpscripting/illustrator-scripts/stepandcopyai
Which means the demand is here. -

An error occurred while saving the comment I see many reports on web about this particular model of keyboard is having problems with 3-keys combinations, in different apps, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/ask/questions/Tx2FHIE8OMWYLYM/
It seems like it’s a problem on their side, some key buffer limitation :(
Is there any app you were successful with a 3-key hotkey, using it? -

It does not work exactly like Polar Array in AutoCAD, but recent Radial Repeat is very much similar to this function you wanted. the main difference you do not specify a circle before, but after you generate an array.
An error occurred while saving the comment There are other custom script solutions for that, which allow to position copies along custom paths. Some other methods include custom Scatter brushes, dashed lines, end even plugins, like Arranger by Omata.

An error occurred while saving the comment Well, it feels like a job Acrobat is supposed to do, really. Adepts of PDF as a locked container, or purists who think we should not import PDFs in Illustrator in the first place, all these will argue even with this notion!
I can see the need of this though, although it’s very niche.

Please share some real cases for this feature you had in your practice, which could have benefit greatly from having inline graphics. It will help the team to plan it and make it more useful for Ai users, than analogues we have in InDesign and Figma.

An error occurred while saving the comment This change, whatever it is, was made 2 years ago :( I wish you have reported it sooner... maybe it’d help to notice and fix it sooner... perhaps some optimization? It'd probably won’t change back, and the only option I feel is left is to tweak the shadow to have a proper look, to write down the values, and to 'fix' all existing shadows. A tedious job :(
Still I think you should share the file for the team to look at it.
Please upload it elsewhere and send the download link to sharewithai@adobe.com, and put the link to this report for tracking: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/46166314
A solution to this can be an action with 4 operations recorded: set stroke color, none (a click in Swatches), set fill color, none.
One click in its button or pressing a custom hotkey — and it’s done.
