Pen tool - better guide functionality, i.e. in desktop holding shift will allow you to draw a 45, 90deg straight line.
Transform tool - desktop version allows for a selected object to be duplicated then moved by a specified measurement from the position of the original object, while iPad version transform moves it by measuring from the edge of the art board.
Specific example, i create clothing patterns by drawing a cross to use as a point, then using the transform-duplicate-move function to plot the next point by the measurement specific to the mm, continuing this process to plot the whole garment. This is measuring point A to point B, B to C etc, then it can change to Point A to point E etc… So measuring from one static point (i.e. edge of the art board) is not practical. Once all the points are plotted i connect with the pen tool to draw the outline of the pattern. Currently this seems difficult, if not entirely possible given that it’s hard to draw a true straight line or line at a 45/90deg angle, as straight lines and angles are crucial in pattern making for clothing.
