    Yes, the Recolor dialog does not have its own undo stack, and all changes are permanent. Since Recolor is often used as an experimentation tool, this behavior limits the freedom and forces users to avoid it and loose applied settings.

    The team is now aware of the situation and hopefully some changes will be made.

    It is great that you will implement this feature. I note that it has taken 5 years since it was requested. I understand that Illustrator is a popular software with many people asking for many requests. But 5 years, for what I think should be a simple feature to implement, but I am not a programmer. Recolor is an essential tool for any designer who needs to create colorways and not having an undo/redo makes the tool so frustrating to use.
