    I notice this also. When I close pallettes and reopen it let me operate again for short while. Then next time I reopen document, they are unresponsive again.

    Done (In Beta)  ·  AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) responded

    The latest Beta 28.5.0.78 allows manual dimensions to stick to arbitrary points and recalculate correctly when objects are repositioned or transformed — just as we expected it to. This includes gaps also.

    Please try it and see if it works for all the cases you have and comment back.
