    If this is something that is still happening for you, please share a test file you can reproduce this problem with, along with the video showing this happening for you, so that the team can try to reproduce it and investigate.

    try COMMAND + H? or VIEW --> HIDE EDGES
    Not sure if we were having the same problem, but somehow my problem stopped after COMMAND + H.
