The issue was fixed in Beta 29.7.0.14

Woks as expected in Beta 29.5 52
However, this build got Shift broken for constraining transformation, so it’d be wise to wait for the next Beta build, where it is reported to be fixed.

The shift key no longer locks the aspect ratio when scaling manually since I updated to 29.5 52 (Beta).
Although the selection-after-pasting problem IS fixed!

Yes, this is driving me bananas!
Illustrator Beta (29.9 6) is no longer seeing activated fonts that it was seeing just a few days ago and which are available to other Adobe software. I'm using Font Agent 10.2 5 for font management.
I had to re-install the main release of Illustrator (which is working fine, by the way) because not having my fonts available makes the software unusable.
