As per the comment, go to 'Preferences > User Interface > Share Button' and select 'Match Brightness' — it will no longer appear blue.
To achieve the same in Photoshop, try toggling 'Neutral Color Mode' in 'Preferences > Interface'.
If you still wish to just have it gone for good — please upvote this separate request.

You can disable this panel via Window > Contextual Task Bar menu command.
The current Beta 28.5.0.34 has a bug though, that enables it back after Ai is relaunched. If you are using normal build, it should just work.

The team acknowledges the problem and is working to provide a quick fix with an option to disable this in the Preferences.

I should be able to limited my Selection to the specific artboard I'm working on, and not have it select the entire document if I want to experiment with a reduction in Stroke size for example. By being able to toggle between this being applied to the entire document, or currently selected artboard, would be a great increase to speed and workflow.
