Remove Bleed Icon from Artboard
A red "Print Bleed" icon appears in the upper right of a document when bleed is applied. The icon doesn't provide any function other than show a message that it's a bleed. We need a way to turn this off.

The team acknowledges the problem and is working to provide a quick fix with an option to disable this in the Preferences.

It would be nice if when you added "features" if you could make them optional with the default being disabled so that I don't have to look at a dumb new icon to do something I don't want and so I don't have to expend extra effort turning off **** I don't want.

In the updated 29.6.1 there is now an option in Preferences to uncheck "Show 'Print Bleed' generative Al button on Bleed"

There needs to be an option to turn off this feature. It's intrusive and is too easy to accidentally click. The way it's designed also makes it look less like a feature and more like it's alerting you to some sort of error.

@Egor Chistyakov
There's no need for the "Disable All" checkbox.
The checkboxes below it mean "if checked, it will be enabled." Simply uncheck the ones you want to disable. -

@Egor Chistyakov It is a welcome addition in the preferences to disable GenAI options but the root of the problem is entirely different. People complain not because they purely hate GenAI, we complain because the icon that Adobe added is a very intrusive, distracting and to simply put it - objectively bad UX. The option to disable it in preferences is nice but what if I don't want to disable it, and just hide it, so I can use it whenever I need it, without making it distract me 90% of time I work with the bleeds on? There should be option to hide it just like the quick toolbar that was recently added. Just make the genAi as a dock menu option or just add the button in the topbar menu just like for tracing.
The problem is not that you add option that could be useful in some situations - the problem is how intrusive and distracting it is for a such small situational feature.

What do you all think about having a section in Preferences to control this and other generative features? It’s a mockup I made, not a real thing.
Photoshop has Neural Filters — to use one, we need to enable one. It also warns about the size of the module (some are rather small though), and I like it asks for 'consent' from us, 'I agree to use this AI-based tech with my data'.
Also, this sections can have the expanded 'Content Aware Defaults' — we have a request for this: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/44156430 — to separate auto-guessing for Crop Image, Puppet Warp and Freeform Gradient into 3 distinct options. Nobody uses the word 'Sensei' now, but these were the first 'let me guess it for you' things Ai made... and they made an option to disable it (not instantly though).

It's really annoying and completely unnecessary! REMOVE ASAP!!!!

Instead of adding **** like this that absolutely no one wants, why not fix the bugs in the app??? Like the invisible cursor after presentation has been around for year. Fix that instead of adding AI **** that we can't turn off.

This is obnoxious. Please don't add **** like this that I can't turn off. I really *hate* looking at little icons all over.

Hurry up and disable

It doesnt even work well - I had simple shapes and black and white vector and it added random colors and shapes that werent there and didnt need to be and changed artwork within my finish space. I want this off because I'll never use it when I can do it better and faster still.

the fact they released this thing without a way to hide it might be most insulting thing Adobe done in past few years. Will have to finally check the competition. this company is cooked

Honestly, it's like the folks Adobe wake up each day asking themselves to figure how to **** off their userbase even more than they already have with this AI nonsense.

Adding a non-removable button right on my artboards that tries to sell me a micro transaction every time I accidentally hover over it might be the thing that makes me finally check out alternative software.

Adobe really needs to start treating its customers with respect again. Issues like these, especially in an almost monopolistic situation, are a real intrusion into the professional peace of mind of many people.

Distracting, annoying and completely unnecessary. At the bare minimum give us an option to remove this.

I've had to roll back my version of illustrator to the previous because it kept bugging out*, and I'm so glad I did, since that dumb icon is nowhere to be seen.
*Objects in my artwork would suddenly become invisible when zooming and cut & pasting would not restore them. This has to be the worst update in recent memory.
