Anish, looking at the original post date of Sept 2017, do you not think that 1 year and 7 months to recognise and respond is on the ridiculous side? I'm pretty sure that you have had at least one upgrade in that time, most likely more. Yes, it would appear that the issue is resolved, but it was so long ago that I suspect the anyone who had an issue has long forgotten they even posted here. I'm not sure how Adobe can think that this is an acceptable length of time to respond.

So it’s obviously not fixed, and we all know it.

While the cursor gets changes into the horizontal/vertical two-headed arrow, the center handles for the bounding box indeed don’t appear, if the width/height of the art (here just an orthogonal line) is small enough.

Please continue to share you thought, screenshots, GIFs. It’s time to re-review this again.

I've noticed that in CC 2019, they have made the left hand tool panel customisable (it may have been in previous versions, but I didn't use it). What I have found is that occasionally the tool panel goes crazy and re-arranges itself. Where the direct selection tool is normally (top right spot) another tool is in its place. I have noticed a correlation between this getting re-arranged and the handles disappearing.

If you reset the tool panel back to default layout (via the 3 little dots under the tool panel), this seems to fix the disappearing handles issue.

    Hi Nitish,

I have just updated to the latest CC 2018 (22.0.0) and this seems to have fixed this issue.

Below is a screen capture of the issue when using the old version (CC 2017.1.0 : 21.1.0)

You can see the artboards drop off but it seems once you click back on an artboard, they re-appear.

    As it's in a superseded version, it's probably a noon-issue now.

Hi Nitish, Yes, I want to save all the artboards as separate files. It does seem to be a glitch. It's not an issue with the output (the files output as expected), it's an issue with illustrator tool panel display. If you have a look at the JPG I had attached, this is a before and after screen shot of the tool panel (right before export and then right after export). From memory, all the artboards still exist in the file, they just don't list in the tool panel. If you click around a bit, the rest of the artboard listings suddenly re-appear.
