    I'm not sure I really can understand this bug, but I think it is kinda related to a very undesirable bug I'm experiencing: make a text box, suppose you have two lines in it.
    Apply multiply bending (or other bending modes) to the secondo line only.
    You save the file, close it; on reopening the file, the blending mode reverses to normal.
    It also happen if you apply a second filling to the text, and select a blending mode to this second fill.

    We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.
