Please accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience. Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.
An error occurred while saving the comment T commentedI'm looking for answers to this question as well.
I also have "Double-click a window's title bar to minimize in the System Preferences" enabled; however, Illustrator wants to do its own thing.

This just happened to me as well (that I've noticed).
While working on a logo, I used offset path and only realized today (when the logo wasn't snapping vertically) that the X values didn't match on the verticals. The angle was ever-so-slightly off. I now need to go back and recreate the logo from the earliest stage of that concept and adjust to ensure the measurements are precise.
Here's an image of the early stage where I figured out the offset path caused the issue. I began with the center shape and had used offset path for the outer shape. For the screenshot, I've used the dimension tool to show the difference. Hope this gets fixed soon please as it seems minor, but it can be compounded. Thanks so much.
