I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.3.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

This is obviously not fixed, so the previous status is removed.

Just a +1 for this. I was working on line work for an A4 colouring sheet this week, drawn freehand. Many lines took several attempts to get clean. They look spot on whilst drawing, then glitch on release. Experimented with various smoothing settings to no avail.

Hi friends! I have some great news for your today. Rotate View (Canvas) feature is available in Illustrator 25.3 (Desktop) now. Thank you all for your feedback which helped us shape up this feature.

Easy free rotation of the artboard is a must for freehand linework. In artrage I have it setup to the wheel on my intuos tablet and it's adds so much to the work flow. Add to that, the ability to use the width tool to clean up line widths (without reverting to basic brush) and we're winning. 😁

Same issue, seems very erratic and starts jittering around. Will use previous edition till it's fixed.
Also seem to have the glitches back when drawing tight curves with calligraphy brushes but that's a separate issue. Though can't help thinking illustrator doesn't get on all that well with my Wacom tablet. Last few updates have all seemed inconsistent in behaviour.
