We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.

Based on feedback, this issue is fixed by upgrading to MacOS Catalina . We are closing this .Let us know if you are still observing this on MacOS Catalina and we will reopen this thread.

Illustrator TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment Kristine commentedI too updated to Catalina. It's been about 2 weeks with GPU performance turned back on and I've had no further issues with flickering from both Illustrator and InDesign. Fingers crossed that by typing this, I'm not jinxing it.

This started happening yesterday or the day before maybe. It was after updating my CC apps to the latest 2020 release. I'm the only one accessing these files via Dropbox for business. Running macOS Catalina v10.15.1, iMac, 27 inch, late 2015)
