    Hi Everyone,

We have fixed this bug in our latest release – v 24.2.1 which is available worldwide now. Thanks for your patience on this.

Please note that after upgrading you might still see that Align To sets itself to Align to Key Object. If you see this, please manually set the Align To to the required setting, and this reported bug will not happen again. You’ll need to this one time only.

The reason Align To might get set to Key Object after update is because Ai remembers your last Align To on subsequent launches as well. So, if your last Align To was Key Object before quitting/upgrading, after first multi-selection, it will set itself to Key Object. After you manually change it one-time, it will work fine.

I happens when the width of the screen is not wide enough to fit all the elements the Control panel can display. Some blocks, especially from the Transform section, get omitted.

To workaround this without purchasing a larger display, one can open the Control panel's flyout menu, untick some options, like Align, and check if the section needed returns. If yes — then please vote here for a feature that would allow us to change the order of blocks in Control: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-feature-requests/suggestions/40231882-allow-us-to-chose-order-of-controls-in-control-pan

    You are right Egor,

when I klick some items away the x- and y-values return and remain when I reactivated the items again.
    Thank’s!

The same problem with a macbook pro and Catalina. The automatic update was on. This morning I got the message a new update was installed. And afterwards I couldn't work any longer. Everything ist sooooo slooooow. And instead of the pointer I mostly get the hand to move the page. I can’t select the things I want to change.
    So please help!
