I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.2.3 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

It does, however, seem to be a bit more intermittent, after trying several files several times, it did not close all tabs every time.Spiky supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Spiky commentedI too am having this issue with 25.2.2, really annoying and time consuming problem. It happens with Cmd W or clicking the cross on the tab.

An error occurred while saving the comment Spiky commentedI too am having this issue, the only way to continue is to quit out and relaunch ai. It has started happening since I updated to Catalina and ai 24.0.3
I use no 3rd party plug ins, mainly use ai and ps.
This problem is starting to swallow up large amounts of my day when trying to switch between projects, so a solution would be awesome. -

Hi All,
We have fixed this issue in 24.0.3 version of Illustrator (MAC only issue). Please update to 24.0.3 if you are encountering this issue. For all the other issues which you are encountering regarding the update or the new document dialog or any other please create another User Voice thread for that issue so that we can track it there itself.
Thanks & Regards,
Illustrator TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment Spiky commentedI noticed the same overwrite issue yesterday after the recent update to illustrator. Since updating my Mac to OS Catalina there have been a myriad of issues using the Adobe CC programs, many are not insurmountable, but do become very annoying over a day of trying to get work out on time. having to resave as a different name, then go in delete the old file and rename the new file as the previous is time consuming and therefore costly. C'mon Adobe guys, your product is awesome, get it sorted
Hi Ankit,
I have done as suggested and it seems to be working, thanks for the help.
