As per Neeraj: it is possible to control the update behavior of links — automatically or manually. Go to Preferences > File Handling & Clipboard > Update Links.

Since we are not able to reproduce the issue in house, kindly provide the following information to nail down the issue further: the machine details, the Illustrator version with which the issue is happening, the test file, and test steps to help us reproducing the issue.
It would be very helpful if you can provide the video recording to reproduce the steps. Kindly share the above details ShareWithAI@adobe.com in a Zip file. Please mention the title of this issue as the subject of mail.

An error occurred while saving the comment Ray commentedI also have this issue. IWhen undoing the artboard move or copy, the artwork will move back over the course of 2-4 undos (moving partial steps the distance moved), while the artboard returns after one undo and a ghost artboard that is undetectable remains. This happens in any file I open and try to move or copy an artboard.

I would like the option to do the opposite (never update links or prompt to update), but share the same frustration of being asked to update links repeatedly. And if I just said no, why would I want to be asked again thirty seconds later?
