Auto Spell Check (red squiggly line like InDesign, Microsoft and other products)
Illustrator REALLY needs to have a feature (that you can turn on or off) for spell check to have the red squiggly line underneath mis-spelled words, like what InDesign, Microsoft, and many other programs have.
I am happy to share that ‘Auto spell-check’ feature has been shipped in the latest version of Illustrator. Here is how to enable/disable it in the latest release : https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/whats-new/2020.html#spellcheck

Two years since this post and we still don't see it. Is it dead?

One of the most voted suggestions is an auto spell checker and the response from the Adobe team was from 2017. It's time. I understand that I can check the spelling, but sometimes I forget and sometimes my whole team misses something. It costs thousands of dollars, embarrassment, and sometimes people's jobs.

Every time I see an update for Ai I excitedly check to see if this is included. This is such a no brainer, please implement it.

Yes I am searching for dynamic spelling in Illustrator as I have a document filled with Loren Ipsum that I DO NOT want to spell check. Here I have found it is a common thing folks are looking for so hurry up and implement it Adobe!!!

Hi Yogesh, can you give us a time frame on this, because i think this request has been alive for around 7 years or longer.
I think i saw "SOON" around 5 years ago. So are you please able to give us, your very disgruntled paying customers, a better indication of how long SOON is? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
this was added to the backlog in 2017. I think we can bump everything in the backlog back and address this issue. its so important and it is asked for over and over and over and over and over. its just crazy. its now 2019. can we just bring it to the front of the backlog and deal with it!!!!!!! -

Maybe we could get Kim Jong Un to print out this feed and then strap it to a missile and aim it at Adobe Illustrator's manager's butt? We've lost tens of thousands of $$$ over the years due to spelling errors. ~ $5k this year alone!

Please GOD add this option! As a designer in a fast pace screen print company, this feature could save me time and the company money. It's wild that this isn't an option. The spell checker now is old school. Please update!

Oooo, why don’t we take it to Twitter, make a meme campaign or something? We are all artists of one form or another, could be worth a shot ^_^
