this request started in 2017. What is the general timeframe to get around to the backlog? its like the spelling checker as you type thing, (which by the way is terrible and completely unintuitive) that took 10 years to address! we pay good money for this product. it takes absolutely forever for any requests to be looked at. it seems you respond once a year if that! not good enough

2020 version has it OMG after upwards of 10 years of asking for this feature it has finally been done. I have just finished a job for a client where I spelt ONE word wrong. It was an order of service for a funeral. 3 people looked at the job multiple times and no one picked it up. The whole job has had to be reprinted and I will probably lose my client over it. It was such and important job. I was guttered. This morning, I went online to see what the progress was on getting this feature through Adobe and there it was, its been done, but you have to switch it on before it works by going to Edit>spelling>autospell check. If I had known this before today, I would be in a much better position. I'm absolutely guttered that I have made this mistake on a very important job for an extremely important client. It is going to cost me dearly in an already strained market, right on Christmas. Too little to late. but thanks anyway Adobe for listening after 10 years.

Hi Yogesh, can you give us a time frame on this, because i think this request has been alive for around 7 years or longer.
I think i saw "SOON" around 5 years ago. So are you please able to give us, your very disgruntled paying customers, a better indication of how long SOON is? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
this was added to the backlog in 2017. I think we can bump everything in the backlog back and address this issue. its so important and it is asked for over and over and over and over and over. its just crazy. its now 2019. can we just bring it to the front of the backlog and deal with it!!!!!!!

Yes please, this is vital. I set up a lot of brochures in Illustrator and just missing little grammar and spelling mistakes when they go back to the client is embarrassing, time-consuming and not good for business. Sometimes when you are working at 3 am, these little mistakes are easy to miss. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, can we have auto spell check like InDesign!!!!!!! It would make my year!

Please share your thoughts on the following:

    1. Would it make sense to have a separate desktop app, just to create charts, and bring them inside Illustrator or InDesign? It may not be on cloud.

    2. Or would you rather have us work on building it within Illustrator?

    Thanks
    Yogesh

We have passed this request along to Grammarly and that while Grammarly thought it would be useful, they’re unable to prioritize it at this time.
