Increase Bleed Limit!
1 inch bleed limit may seem extreme for offset (usually 1/8") or packaging (1/4"), but people use Illustrator for all kinds of projects! Textile vendors want much more. The limit makes proofing annoying because we need to get approvals without bleed.

Could we please get an update on this? I'm currently artworking a huge bunch of print files for a global brand event, which involves lots of large canvas wall wraps and signage. I need to supply all large artwork with 150mm bleed. The current limit means I can't even supply the artwork at 25% to scale, I have to reduce it down to 10% scale just so I can add 15mm bleed. Crazy! What's the hold up?

A bunch of programmers working for Adobe, millions of people using the software (or thereabouts) and yet they can't seem to perform a basic programming update to increase bleed limit!! Go figure.

large format billboards needs at least 3inch bleeds. Seriously, how is 1inch the limit? You're Adobe, you know the print game is still significant.

So when is the increase coming, Mr. Nandkeolyar? We use Illustrator for large scale projects, and we are forced to ignore your program's bleed settings in favor of floating the correct document size within a larger page setup. Hello? Mr. Nandkeolyar?

I am creating large stand graphics and require a large bleed area for vinyl wraps. I am working with some standard and some non-standard artboard shapes so InDesign is not a suitable alternative.

Completely agree that this is absurd to have this controlled bleed limit. Signage and pull-up banner vendors often ask for 6 + inches in bleed.
