Make ability to create Dead (not Live) shapes
I don't always need LIVE shapes. They have different controls, different treat of Control panel, they bite off Transform palette. Sometimes I just need rectangular path, as it was before, not Rectangle. Now I have to use Plain rectangle plugin on common basis, rebound to M hotkey.
I would like to use them if not a bug with Ctrl+Enter in Width/Height fields, while proportion constraint is off (Live shapes don't constraint it with Ctrl+Enter, as everybody else do, — I'm surprised I haven't reported it yet.)

There is a way to toggle this, by assigning 0 to the /createLiveShapes flag in the Adobe Illustrator Prefs
This is hardly discoverable, and it should be a part of normal UI (along with Y-axis flipping: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/32428157-allow-users-to-set-direction-for-x-and-y-axes) -
Mark, there is an easy way to convert a live shape into 'dead' one, but with a separate 'Expand' command. I just have too much Expand commands :)

Would be nice to have somewhere in the preferences or in the objecttool where you could choose if you wanted new shapes to be live shapes or just ordinary shapes.
I constantly hit the rotate handle instead of the rounded corner or the transform handles. Maybe the preferences should allow you to chose which handles you would like to appear at the edges of the shape? -

The irritation for me is not being able to reset the bounding box, which is what I need to make certain transformations. To kill it, I have to manually edit a vertex which I can’t even automate. So yeah.
I don't personally mind that it's created as a live shape - as long as I have a quick and easy way to change it back to regular path behaviour.
