Illustrator support on Huion tablets
Illustrator is not compatible with huion tablets. The cursor moves when pen moves but no ink comes out when press down. This works in ALL other products (e.g photoshop) except illustrator. Several people have reported this issue.

Hi guys, to everyone having problems.... at least on Windows. The Huion App controls what each button does, by default one button is letter E and the other is right click. So if you switch the letter E to left mouse key on the App , then it will work just fine in Illustrator. On Mac, things should be fairly the same. I came here because I had the same problem and now it works for me.

I updated the drawings screens to huion in the studio, so this sucks pretty much...

I uninstalled the current Huion driver and AI 2021.
Then install the older driver and AI 2020.
It works for me, thanks for who give the tip! -

Hello, I recently purchased the Huion HS64 and the pressure sensitivity was not working on Illustrator 25.4.1.
Working on Mac Big Sur.I got a successful resolution from Huion support. My additional notes after each point.
1. Uninstall the current driver and install the Driver_14.6.0.210128
This can be found at https://www.huion.com/it/download/
Make sure you fully install that driver. That is to say, open it up and check your stylus pressure.2. Install an old AI version, such as AI 2020
I did this through the Adobe Creative Cloud App.
There are three dots to the far right of illustrator. Click on that for Other Versions (see my screenshot).
I installed version 25.0. This replaced the newer install of Illustrator! Backup your stuff!3. Follow the steps in this link How to Fix No Pen Pressure Issue in Adobe Illustrator (MacOS)
Step 1. Open “System Preferences”.
Step 2. Find Security & Privacy –> Privacy –> Automation.
Step 3. Press the “Command” and “Space” bar on your keyboard and type “Terminal” to open the
Terminal window.
Step 4. Input this command in the Terminal window: “tccutil reset All com.adobe.illustrator” and run (hit
Enter on your keyboard). (It will show you have successfully reset the program)
Step 5. Restart Adobe Illustrator and on the pop-up window, press “OK”. Restart Adobe Illustrator again.
(See my screenshot)Test out the tablet on the older version of AI. It should be working at this point.
Go an update your AI. Check out your tablet and you should still be good to go!
I did not upgrade my Huion diver version after this. They did not instruct me to and I don't see the need to either.
Okay humans, I hope that helps you out.

Hello, i use HUION HS64 and the latest version of Illustrator., windows 10.
On Huion Tablet settings, I set OFF 'Enable Windows Ink' and the tablet works well on illustrator.
No pen pressure, but everything else alright. I can write and draw with brushes... -

I definitely have this issue. Not solvable by any resets, hacks, installation of wacom drivers,...

have the cheap H420 using a Macbook - not working on pressure in Illustrator
- do not install wacom drivers.. this is silly
- huion had a pressure app not installed with the latest version of the driver it seems? -

I faced same problem using Windows 10, Huion NEW 1060 PLUS. Illustrator CC 2019 not recognizing after one use.
I have to do every time but it works (Using last Huion driver from Huion webpage, date march 2019)
1.Open Illustrator
2.Open Huion Tablet App
3.Priviledges button, accept for windows.
4.Restore to original config on huion tablet. Then should work, any doubt write and I'll show.

I got the idea from Kimberly Oh! :'D
(Windows 10 with CC2019 programs)
Turning (some of) the inks features in Windows worked for me :'D
Also sometimes, when Huion is buggy on an app, I restart the Huion program after starting my artwork program.
(i.e., Photoshop or Illustrator should start first before the Huion program).(Hannah Wright's workaround didn't work for me.. but Kimberly Oh's did :')
Hope this helps, too.
Thank you! -

Still does not work with Adobe Illustrator. I've tried the Q11K and the H950P. Neither work as of August 6th, 2019.

I am having the opposite problem-- while I am hitting a button on the stylus, it will produce ink, but it will not recognize it as a cursor without pressing down on a button. If I am not pressing a button, nothing works at all

I just wanted to add I bought a Huion pro 610 and it installed flawlessly and worked perfectly straight away with Illustrator.
Don't be convinced by a few bad experiences into spending multiple times what you need to.

I just got a Huion tablet. I find the cursor on the screen very annoying. Can it be downsized or disappear completely?

Also - you can double click blob brush tool and at the bottom select pressure where it says fixed, then add some variation. Boom!

I recently bought a Huion 420 tab;et and when trying to create a brush in illustrator to recognize pressure, the pressure setting is greyed out. Is there a way to change that?

Q: I am still having this issue and cannot locate the tool panels that Hannah is referring to? Anyone get this fixed and can help me fix mine?
A: The tool panel will not be there, if you are working on T (text). However, when you are working on the Paintbrush tool(B)/Blob Brush (Shft + B), you will see the "Tool Options" on the right top in the Properties Panel.

Huion Pen/Stylus works on Adobe Illustrator (This is for Mac users.)
From the System Preferences
- Find an app "Ink"
- From the setting, "Handwriting recognition, Off"
- Uncheck All - "Allow me to ink in any application," " Show Ink window," "Show Ink in menu bar."
- Even pen options, do not click on ". . . Ink."
5. And then "Restart" your computer. As you know, always reboot the computer after any changes. Now, your Huion Stylus should work.
