GET RID OF THE REVERT HOTKEY!
The hot key for Revert is WAY too similar to the hot key for Save As in Photoshop and I lost an entire day fo work saving after finishing a project. The fact that that can happen accidentally, even with the approval button is INFURIATING!
The latest Beta Build 29.0.38 now removes the default F12 keyboard shortcut for File > Revert command.
This will only affect those who use sets with F12 not assigned to anything else. A soft message will inform users about the change.
If you choose to use F12 for Revert, you can assign it back using Keyboard Shortcuts dialog.
Let’s hope nobody looses anything anymore because of accidental Revert!

I lost nine hours of work for a final project. I cannot even breath right now. Either get rid of this revert option (because I don't understand who in their right mind would use it) or change the default shortcuts for people who did not know it even existed.

Such a stupid shortcut. Maybe keep this option but do not make it a hotkey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The short cut is cmnd+alt+z (the same as photoshops undo) and it's an undoable revert. if you work frequently between ai and ps this is a dangerous key that unfortunately I just learned about the hard way. Come on Adobe. User Experience flaw at its finest. If this is going to be the short cut. Make a freaking undo revert option. Just lost several hours of a school project.. not pleased.

Adobe... DO NOT EVER create the stupidest "revert" shortcut on Illustrator. It is beyond disappointing! I just lost HOURS of work.

Hm. As far as I remember, AI's default hotkey for 'Revert' is F12.
And you can clear it in Keyboard shortcuts to nothing easily.
Why didn't you do it and what exactly combination do you speak of? -
On Mac? I don't know such a command for Windows version. I know 'Revert' and it is F12 and it rewinds only to saved state and it's easily disables via hotkeys settings.

Illustrator users almost always work in conjunction with photoshop. When you're in a rush you might try to use photoshop's "step backwards" and quickly blast through the menu/ hit enter... completely deleting all your work with no hope of restoring it.
It's insanity that you would pick this shortcut for such a destructive action considering its the most commonly used shortcut in the most popular adobe software.
