GET RID OF THE REVERT HOTKEY!
The hot key for Revert is WAY too similar to the hot key for Save As in Photoshop and I lost an entire day fo work saving after finishing a project. The fact that that can happen accidentally, even with the approval button is INFURIATING!
The latest Beta Build 29.0.38 now removes the default F12 keyboard shortcut for File > Revert command.
This will only affect those who use sets with F12 not assigned to anything else. A soft message will inform users about the change.
If you choose to use F12 for Revert, you can assign it back using Keyboard Shortcuts dialog.
Let’s hope nobody looses anything anymore because of accidental Revert!

Lost my 12 hours of work, and this work is including the complex composition of golden ratio and about 100+ Paragraphs. Now here i am. At 5 Am, sitting down with blank stare and birds sound, and thinking about cyadine and death. The deadline is 18 hours remaining. Whoever you are reading this, you're not alone

WHY! Who thought this was a great idea? Seriously, no one ever needs the hot key right near the undo key. When you're creating and in the flow, a pop up with the "revert" button selected doesn't seem much different from one that says save so it's real easy to hit enter and then all of the time you just spent is gone.
Having this hot key is terrible user interface. It's almost as though it seems intentional. Why is it still there when so many hours have been lost from this hot key? I guarantee it has caused more people pain than it has helped. IT's an east choice for it to be removed. I've already updated it for me. I hope you get rid of it so no one else as to suffer this.

Yes please, freaking remove this hotkey. It just cost me an hour of work - just before a tight deadline. Why why why?! This is not hotkey worthy material...let alone locating it in a spot that is so error-sensitive.... and irreversible. Who even comes up with this? Has there been done any user testing?

Just lost a full day's work...Absolutely ridiculous UX. Thanks for wasting a lot of time and money Adobe <3.
Whoever's decision this was needs to really re-think their career

I just lost an entires day worth of work after being in the zone and accidentally hitting the revert button. Who in their right mind ever thought this would be a good idea for a shortcut!??????? Do you not do user testing before releases?????? WHAT A TERRIBLE UX FLAW. At the minimum you must allow a user to undo this action. MINIMUM. I see from other threads that this has been an issue with countless users since 2015! One thread had 37 replies. Common adobe! What are we paying our money for? What is taking so long? Whats the point of CC and frequent updates if you are not listening to your users???? Why do users have to learn the hard way that this shortcut exists. TERRIBLE AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED. And you wonder why people are switching over to sketch.

Just lost several hours of work last night. So frustrating.
Tried crushing illustrator and seeing if there was still some data in recover file. No luck - the work is gone.I really think that this shortcut should be taken out.
