In Export for Screens save prefix, suffix, location, and other options per document
As a designer with multiple files,
I want the ability to set the export for screens folder per file,
So that I don't have to constantly relocate the location of the output for each file I open up. It would be helpful to get **** done.
- When exporting a file the location identified for the first time is saved for subsequent times I access to export.

With Export for Screens, the prefix and suffix options should be part of the individual file's metadata, not set globally.
Same with save and export locations: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/35263417

The default folder in Export for Screens should be the SAME FOLDER IN WHICH THE FILE IS SAVED. This ridiculous omission costs me valuable time every time I have to export files in different locations. Ps also has this correct.

This is a major and obvious shortcoming. Frustrating that we even have to raise it.

Agreed, especially as we are an org that has a lot of templatized assets, this would be GREAT. IE, I want to be able to set a "fix" (in fact, I'd like a toggle for whether exports pre or append the name), an option to define a separator character (underscore, dash, or none) and finally the ability to use variable names ($date, $langguage, etc).
But for sure the prefix needs to be moved into the file itself to enforce name standards.

Please give us a choice for save location in preferences or at least go to the parent folder from the file source as the default. Why would something this basic change??

Please make Export for screens settings save together with AI file.. Separate settings for each file.. not just the last used.
It's nice feature, but every time you change project or other clients work, you need to change location, select different artboards, change prefix back and forward..
Please make those settings saved with file.
Thank you -

Please put together all the wishes regarding being able to save export settings for individual files, that means custom settings for means, path, formats, prefix and all!
Otherwise I have to change the settings, which are quite specific, every single time I export from a file. -

YES! This is especially relevant when creating a large number of assets for animated ads. If I switch from the 300x250 document to the 160x600 document, I have to remember to change the suffix every time. This gets to be a big deal when making changes to a lot of sizes. -

Did not see this when I added my suggestion. We are both asking for the same thing as far as export to directory setting being a per file setting instead of global.
