Show missing link path/locations like InDesign. (To make relinking an image simple)
In the Link Panel - Indesign shows the file path for placed images and links (even when missing or embedded). In Illustrator's Link panel these path/locations are greyed out with no text, thus making finding a missing file purely guess work. Can the Indesign Links Panel be directly replicated to Illustrator so absolutely the same? Cheers

At the very least, the Relink interface should list the NAME of the image link you've clicked on to relink.
When you're relinking image after image, you shouldn't have to keep the full name in your head each time.

All Adobe suite apps need to display the path it has for broken linked files. It helps the user locate the files, and the program has it stored somewhere, otherwise it cannot know the file is missing.
This is NEEDED in the next patches, and unacceptable this information is hidden.

In Indesign, I can copy out the path in the link panel, even if there are missing links and that is very practical with them, because if I can copy the path, I also have the name of the missing file - I can use it to search for it in my computer!
Could this function also be implemented in the Illustrator link panel? Thank you!

5 years on, we are still missing this detail?!?!?!
WHY???
Surely this must be a quick fix as the coding is already there in the other Adobe packages? -

It would be really useful if the missing images retained the path to where they were linked to when the file was last saved. This would help identify which ball park to start our searches for re-linking.
Thank you.
Apologies if you have already had this request. if not, I'm surprised! -

This logical functionality, of displaying last path of missing linked file exists in all Adobe programs. AE, PR, PS.
Why Ai is missing it is beyond me.
