This is a must!
Whats the point to have export for screens in Illustrator,
when most graphic design is created in cmyk and Ai does not offer an option to convert to SRGB just like Ps does?
It renders it useless, as cmyk jpgs appear with inverted colors.Evan Fotis supported this idea ·

I posted this in the forum too.
in the latest update, contents of navigator do not fill the window. Not only that, they are not even centered.
Navigator options are set to "view artboard contents only".
I tried checking/unchecking, but same weird beahviour.
So here are some screenshots.Illustrator window, and then Illustrator Navigator. Not only do the artboards not fit the window, they are cramped on the right side.
The second pair shows Ps behaving properly. You can notice behind PS Navigator is Ai Navigator and size discrepancy.
Is this a bug to be fixed?
Please bring back previous Ai Navigator functionality.Evan Fotis shared this idea ·

Many times I have a general artboard and many artboards inside the boundaries of the general one.
Useful for exporting segments, zooming, duplicating etc.Very often I want to align an object to the center of the artboard. That is when I realized that the artboard I was working on has been desected (by Ai) and insted the general artboard is now active. Objects align to irrelevant places, I have to go in the artboards panel relesect the one I want, repeat etc. It just causes problems and waist of time. So pleas add a lock for artboards.

This logical functionality, of displaying last path of missing linked file exists in all Adobe programs. AE, PR, PS.
Why Ai is missing it is beyond me.Evan Fotis supported this idea ·

A couple of questions on this:
1. Would it be okay to have a separate spec creation service much like the upcoming Adobe XD service? On this service, anyone with a link, can select any objects, and view its dimensions (W/H), colors, fonts etc. Or should it be inside Illustrator.
2. Are you only going to create horizontal, and vertical dimensions? Or would you also like to have angular dimensions as well?
Please share more details about your workflow.
Thanks,

Not exactly a new format but, since Ai does not have Photoshop's layer comp option and thus the export layer comps to file, it could very easy add an "Export Custom Views" function to the export for screens dialogue box, as a tab next to assets and artboards.
This would immediately add the usability of export layer comps . -

Totally support this feature.
Honestly it is plain weird Adobe has not implemented this yet. Other vector packages have this as default from Autocad to vectornator... Especially when one switches to dark UI the outline mode ougjt to be inverted as well.
