Ability to create a new document
I want to create a new document and not one from a template. Please add "Create New Blank Document".
I use this for mobile games and don't think it's fair I have to revert back to Legacy to just create a quick ai file to edit and go.

There are several solution on how to create a new document faster. Please refer to the comment inside.

If you hate the new New Document dialog — you can always (hopefully) disable it with enabling Preferences > General > 'Use legacy "File New' interface' option. This is what I do.
Also, if you want to quickly create a document without a dialog at all, you can press Ctrl+Alt+N — this will use the latest settings you used to create a document, silently.
Finally, you can save a document as an .ait template, and create new docs based on it just by opening this file.There are many ways, and one chooses the method they prefer. It’s just a matter of learning these.

The option should be there. Under "File". It's the first option. (Ctrl+N)
