A couple of questions on this:
1. Would it be okay to have a separate spec creation service much like the upcoming Adobe XD service? On this service, anyone with a link, can select any objects, and view its dimensions (W/H), colors, fonts etc. Or should it be inside Illustrator.
2. Are you only going to create horizontal, and vertical dimensions? Or would you also like to have angular dimensions as well?
Please share more details about your workflow.
Thanks,

I would think almost 5 years would be enough time to get the info you need.

BPT-Pro4 is what we currently use. But it would be SO nice not to have to rely on a third party plug-in.

You'd think after 3 years they'd have the info they need....

At least you have an eyedropper tool. Mine is COMPLETELY GONE!

Just use the shortcut for the reflect tool "O". So click on what you want to reflect, hit "O" and hit "enter". Then the reflect option panel comes up. From there you can select horizontal or vertical.

Hi Everyone,
We have added a preference to enable ‘Zoom with Mouse Wheel’. Go to Preferences→ General→ Enable ‘Zoom with Mouse Wheel’.
Also, now you can pan the doucment using the middle click of the mouse.
Both of these functionality are available since January 2021 release (version 25.1) onwards.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback

Professionals, like myself, use Illustrator. Hence my request for the feature.

Not unusual behavior at all. MANY industries use inches(or mm) to set text height while still needing point sizes. Why would this be considered too "advanced" for professionals?
An error occurred while saving the comment Derek Jenkins commented
Nope. My preferences are already set to inches. That doesn't affect new Font height option units. They are always points.
*Edit, I don't want to change my regular font units, just the new font height options.Derek Jenkins shared this idea ·

Why not both? Nudges need to be grouped together. You can have a 100 "nudges" that would take up an entire "history".

The option should be there. Under "File". It's the first option. (Ctrl+N)

Still an issue with version 24.2.3 on Windows 10.

Still happening in the latest (24.2). It did fix a similar issue with eyedropper not applying color to text.

Dina Dembicki, CADtools is an Illustrator plug-in. We designers who use Illustrator need tools for Illustrator, not just to SEE the size of something. We have annotate the dimensions on our artboard for clients. We have been needing tools, like CADtools (an Illustrator plug-in) to make annotating those jobs easier and quicker. Just because those functions being requested aren't useful to you, doesn't mean they aren't for a large portion of other users.
