Selection and zoom marquees should be able to be displayed orthogonally when a view is rotated
When dragging out a selection marquee on a rotated canvas with either of the Selection tools, the marquee is drawn aligned to the canvas instead of the screen.
The actual selection seems to be done in screen space - see the two attached screenshots, where my marquee was dragged from the lower left point of the marquee to the upper right, resulting in a displayed marquee that would select the sketch of hair above the eye, and an actual selection that only contains parts of the paths in the eye.
The expected behavior would be that the marquee was drawn aligned to the screen, rather than to the canvas, and that the selection is also performed on a box aligned to the screen rather than to the canvas.

When canvas is rotated, selection box is unusable. Please fix this Adobe.

When working with the rotate view feature, it conveniently changes the view angle of the whole artboard. However, all UI elements, such as the text box or zoom tools, for example, are also rotated. So for example, if I flip the canvas 180 degrees and try to create a new text box, all new texts will appear rotated 180 degrees as well. When working with multidirectional design it is very inconvenient and requires additional adjustments to work around this problem.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one Egor, I'm working on a piece that's giving the view rotation a serious workout and this is really driving me nuts.

This is a known thing, I discussed it with the team before the release. Finally someone started talking about it except me :)

Dragging out a marquee with the Zoom tool does this, too. So does the Group Selection tool, and so does Astute's Super Marquee. I really hope this is because they are all relying on the same "Draw Selection Marquee" routine. :)
