Type on path with multiple lines
We need to extend Type on Path to allow it to be multiline.
The picture does explain it well enough.
Instead of manual offsetting lines (I used AG Offset tool to make a lot of them at once) and making threads, we should be able to just tick an option and get a LIVE result.
Also, please see the related request about upgrading the UX of Type on Path as well:

Yes, this is how it worked in FH, multiline was a thing for text on a path. I really with for it to work in Ai too.

This one kinda sits up there along with Adobe's refusal to allow text to be set for vertical alignment.
If they allowed you to have multiple lines of text against one path when using 'Type on a path' they would then have to allow you to set whether the text was aligned to Top, Middle or Bottom ... and they couldn;t possibly permit that as we would then have a work around for the years old issue which they continue to ignore!

Please be able to make a line break in the text on the path.

While creating type around a circle path, Illustrator is not very intuitive. Back in Freehand we could for ex. just click «Enter» to split the text and bend it to the second half of the circle.
Unfortunately i don't have a FH installation running anymore.PS: The idea came up talking with Monika Gause :-)
