Font grouping
I am a graphic designer working in the field of design. I need the ability to group fonts together. Currently, as fonts cannot be grouped, I use colored blocks to create combinations. I find it very inconvenient that fonts cannot be grouped, and this hampers my workflow.

I wanted to share that I had similar annoyances with this and developed a plugin to help.
I wanted to introduce you to Fontshelf, the only plugin for Photoshop and Illustrator that lets you group fonts into custom playlists.
I hope this helps anyone looks for a way to group fonts in illustrator, group fonts in photoshop, or just a great organization tool for your typefaces.

Do you refer to the dropdown font lists, in Character, Control and Properties panel? If yes — can you explain what 'colored blocks' have to do with it? Can you provide a screenshot, please, to illustrate it?
