Easily resize pattern
Would love to be able to easily resize the patterns within forms.
Right now I have to resize the object using the option "adapt the pattern" while doing the modifcation, and resize it back without the option.
Or make a new, big pattern within the pattern swatch.
What would be useful is not having to leave your illustration or change the shape you would like to change the pattern that is applied to.
Maybe having a preview of your illustration with the changes you make on the pattern tab/window.

Mara, currently there are three related entries:
1. A general request to make keyboard shortcuts work for different input languages — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/39628447
2. A mixed report about Tilde key to move a pattern within shape not working — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/41072941
3. A rather unknown request to allow the same functionality without holding a key, as a toggleable option (with a complicated story behind it) — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/46718269
I think your request can be merged into this third one. Would you agree? -

Hi Egor, thanks for your super fast answer!
I was super excited to learn that there was a solution, until I read about the French keyboard... As I am using one...
I tried with other ` key on my keyboard or the ² but indeed nothing. That is such a pity ! Also that we can't remap it.
I thought I could give it a try changing the language of the keyboard in the computer parameters but it didn't work either.Where did you see reports about it at UV? So that I can also vote on it.

Mara, Ai allows this — in a way.
Select your shape filled with a pattern.
Grab Scale tool.
Click and drag and press ` key (the one that is usually below Escape on English keyboards) — it does not matter if you press it before or after a click (in Ai).
Ai should start scaling only the pattern, but not shape while you holding it.
Same applies to Rotate and Shear tools. Won’t work for Free Transform tool (it is specifically designed to alter geometry) and with just-corner-handles of the bounding box frame (for unknown reason). This hardly works on some keyboards that don’t have the key, like French, and Ai offers no way to remap it to something else (there are several reports here at UV about it).
Does it work for you?
If it does — does it solve the problem for you?
