  1. Change Illustrator marker code from % to something no one would use, like tilde

    You know... people REALLY USE the "%" symbol when making charts. We'd like to be able to use it when making live marker symbols, but we can't because that is the reserved symbol for markers. NO ONE would use a tilde since it can't be represented as a data point. Please change this and add functionality to add a suffix to numbers when used in a column marker. You REALLY need to bring charts into the 21st century... I feel like I'm still working in 1999.

  3. Rotation and reflection when selecting an object

    When I have an object selected (left mouse is pressed down), I want to press the space bar to rotate it. This might rotate anticlockwise by 90° (so I would press the space bar three times to rotate the object clockwise by 90°). You could make the rotation angle 45° to be aligned with rotating and holding the shift key.

    Also, while the object is again selected, if I press the X key, the object is reflected horizontally; pressing the Y key reflects it vertically.

    These key strokes have been in use on another software program that I have used…

  4. non destructive erase with brush tool

    it would be nice if we could use the brush in a transparent mode to erase in a non destructive way.

  5. Object or Group of Object Component

    This feature was actually on Adobe XD, where created objects like icons can be made as components, basically users can use a component multiple times, duplicating, copy and pasting to multiple artboards, but can be edited just once and then all the component link will update automatically without updating each object individually.

  6. Bring back opt-enter in move dialog

    Select art with selection tool, hit enter for move dialog, type in parameters and hit option-enter to duplicate. You removed this feature what feels like a decade ago. Put it back in. btw-I have used illustrator professionally since Illustrator 88.

  8. Pen Tool and Curvature Tool

    All my design products are from adobe, but, to be honest the path control is very primitive. The best path control tool in every single aspect could be found in CorelDraw. I think it is gonna help if you study the CorelDraw path control tool.

  10. Disable rotation shortcut in bounding box.

    When working with small elements, the rotation tool interferes with opt+dragging to duplicate.
    Rotation is not nearly as common a tool as simple manipulating/duplicating an object. Would prefer to use the Rotate tool when needed.

  16. presets for pen pressure

    hi
    as we have in photoshop a lot of presets, i would love it if you can make presets options on illustrator for tools with pen pressure/tilt etc.
    like in blob brush tool options (and maybe to save my own presets as well)

  17. les outils sélection sont inversés !

    les outils de sélection et sélection directe sont inversés !
    Si on sélectionne l'outil de sélection directe (icône flèche pleine) il apparait évidé sur le plan de travail et inversement....C'est énervant !!

  18. Drop color

    Definitely miss adobe draw.
    I’d love to see it be easy to drop in colors and for there to be brushes like in adobe draw.
    Also the brush/ pencil seem really glitchy and not like a natural gesture

  19. Add line width profile copy feature in eye dropper tool

    Line dropper tool does not copy width profile.
    I dont want o keep adding every width profile to library to reuse it.

  20. Triangles

    Add the use of triangles into shapes as this will help with projects. as there is the only use of lines, square and circles.
