  1. Adobe Illustrator CC impossibly slow on iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)

    We are running Mac OSX 10.12.6 on new iMac.

    Is it too much to ask for enhanced performance for a robust iMac retina with 40gb of ram? What with the $600+ annual subscription fee and all... c'mon... Adobe Illustrator CC is lethargic. Just don't get it... where are the updates to enhance performance and improve compatibility with newer macs. This is a vector-based program.

    Request you to please add specific bugs. We could not find anything actionable on the report hence closing it.
    You may also contact Adobe support with your problem so that we can track your issue better.

  2. Lagging when using a lot of color groups

    My AI 2020 version is lagging a lot when I use color groups, is unusable. I use a Lenovo Flex 5

  3. Not Responding. Crashing when I go to make a pattern

    Operating system: Windows 10
    Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz
    31.85GB RAM

    Currently in the process of creating a 40cm x 40cm all over surface pattern design print. So far everything has been fine. My total file size is 435mb.

    When I select my imagery ready to turn in to Object > Pattern > Make
    Illustrator decides that it can't process this, freezes and crashes.
    I am on the most up to date versions of Illustrator and drivers for my RAM.
    I have also tried simplifying my pathways to no avail.

    Does anyone else know…

  4. command + z

    illustrator newest version 2020 in use:
    it has issues in reverting the latest action. the one before the latest and all the previous are reverted while that last 1 stays the same.

    lets say

    1- line modification towards left
    2- line resized
    3- point of line modified from point A towards B

    when pressing cmd+z only the actions nr 2 and nr1 are rverted. the position of the line in the nr3 doesnt go from B back to A. stays in B..

  5. Animated zoom happened again! please STOP it being default when some update or restart happens.

    it have happened 2 times the last 14 days. i almoast crush my computer every time! PLEASE MAKE IT STOP HAPPENING!

  7. Performance and delay on Illustrator 2020&2019 - iMac 5k 2019 with Pro Vega 48

    Here is the video where I compare performance issue with other graphic software and desktop CP with Illustrator 2020 on the iMac 2019. Fps is drop when moving canvas by hand tool and when you want to resize simple vector shape you see on screen and feel some kind of latency, delay (watch carefully the video below). On the video you can see this lag how its behavior on iMac and how its snappy od Pc Dekstop. Performance is the same on Mojave or Catalina.   8. Illustrator fundamentals

    • When panning around in mid full screen view, defect stripes keeps appearing all over the screen. Disappears when zooming one time.
    • Zoom should be zooming to position of mouse, but it zooms "all over the place" when close up.
    • Pathfinder substract creates unnecessary amount of anchor points + gaps. Even with setting 0,001 in Pathfinfer options

    This has been going on for years, and Adobe is informed about these fundamental bugs several times. Time to fix the fundamentals and clean up the bugs.

  9. crashing

    Crashes when opening preferences. Slow overall (and non-responsive) performance on a brand new Mac. 2020 Illustrator is beta garbage and does not run dependably. InDesign is just as bad.

  10. Only one backstep at a time possible

    ai lets me backstep only once or twice bevore stalling. After ca. 2 minutes another backstep is possible. Sometimes several backsteps are possible but it will stall from time to time. If I wait, it will recover, but it's impossible to work in this way.
    Is there a solution to this?
    I'm on a Mac Pro 12core late 2013 and OS X 10.14.6

  11. Illustrator does not work with iCloud Drive enabled in Mojave OS X 10.14

    Since upgrading to Mojave OS X 10.14, Illustrator does not work with iCloud Drive enabled. Will not open or save files.

  12. Mysterious Points moving

    I have the latest version of Adobe Illustrator. I've lately been creating a character and I was putting the layer on hidden and a thing appeared. It was like I used the direct selection tool and dragged a point across my screen. It happens about every 6-7 times I hit the button and it also happens on a different layer on a different part of the body.

  13. Creative Cloud has potential ports leak (Activity Monitor)

    When starting Creative Cloud, and Viewing Activity Monitor in macOS the ports show an normal average number around 600. Yet the Creative Cloud ports don't stop there every 15 seconds they increase by 1-3 on avg. I have had them reach 10,000 and that when it starts causing problems with my MacBook performance. if I let it would just keep climbing endlessly. this need to be addressed asap.
