Anchor point deletion in error

Tapping and holding an anchor point with the direct selection tool in order to move the anchor point is deleting the anchor point instead of allowing it to be moved.

I'm using apple pencil, and I have the same proble. Usually have to click 5-6 times to move the anchor point to another location but it disappears instead.
Worst case I can't move the anchor point and have to draw a new line.

It seems Adobe Illustrator for desktop is a better way for this action.

I think this is the intended behaviour for a long press with the Apple pencil but it is a bad feature as the delay is not long enough.

Happens to me half the time. I tried holding down the circle thinking that may be it but it doesn’t help. Then I click back arrow. Usually have to do it about five times to move a anchor point. Makes it frustrating and slow. Using Apple Penciil.

This happens to me with about 40% of the anchor points I select. Are you using an Apple Pencil?
